Utilities Project Manager

In order to grow our activities in the utilities sector, we are looking for a dynamic Project Manager.

As project manager for GIM’s activities in the sector of utilities, I drive the entire scope of a project from the bidding phase up to delivery and review. I have a natural curiosity to understand my customers’ needs and translate them into the right GIM solutions. Working in close collaboration with our Sales Director, I dive into the customers’ needs in order to propose them the best offer and deliver the right GIM people, solutions and resources, while managing the possible related risks. I combine my background in IT with my business acumen to predict the work effort, required resources and associated cost to successfully complete the activity. The end goal I always keep in mind is to unite our customers’ and GIM’s interests. Our customers’ appreciation and satisfaction are key to my success, which is why I continuously make sure that the right actions are taken in order to optimize their experience. 

I motivate and drive our top team of experts to deliver the project in line with the defined delivery milestones, the project scope, schedule and budget. As a member of our PMO team, I ensure that our GIM competences and resources are optimally planned and deployed. My organizational and coaching skills are of big added value to ensure a daily follow-up of the diverse projects with my pool of utilities customers. They as well as my project team appreciate my communicative nature through which I keep them informed of the status of our projects. As continuous improvement is a vital part of GIM’s DNA, I monitor and review the effort and resources spent on our projects as well as the project team’s functioning and collaboration. 

Taking on the role of account manager for my utilities customers, I create, maintain and strengthen the relationships with GIM’s customers and partners. This means that I create a pool of committed and profitable customers with whom I build sound and long-term relationships. With this goal in mind, I look for opportunities in line with the overall GIM sales strategy and tactics. I am able to develop my own sales funnel, to plan and ensure a thorough follow-up of our customers. In this context I collaborate with our marketing and communication specialist to ensure the required material in order to target the right customers in an appealing and qualitative manner. Because I focus on developing qualitative customer relationships in the utilities field across Belgium with a focus on the Flanders region, I can express myself easily in Dutch and preferably also French.
