As a team leader of the ‘Customer alliance and services’ team within GIM I am responsible for introducing our solutions to the market and developing strategic initiatives to create added value for our customers (governments and utility companies). Because I express myself in English, French as well as Dutch, I can easily establish deep relationships with this diverse stakeholder landscape over the whole of Belgium. I am able to benchmark my approach towards these clients and develop a sales and key account plan. I also build and defend winning proposals to convince my customers of GIM’s added value.
I partake in a co-creation process with our customers and coordinate with our business lines in order to identify new opportunities. I gather resources (people, material, finance, technology) to develop and launch new integrated solutions. Where possible, I connect the dots in our solutions portfolio to make them more cost-efficient. In this context I create intelligence around the development of value proposition.
I organize feedback flows in order to improve our business and sales plan. To achieve this, I analyse and review objectives and take advantage of unexpected opportunities. I make sure that we are capable of further developing, improving and managing sales forecasts, quotations and offers.
As the lead of my business line team, I oversee the professional development of my team. I assign roles to my team members, monitor the fit and give feedback to improve it. I establish priorities and strategies for my team and allocate resources for projects/roles accordingly. I define the metrics for my team and take on PMO and budget controlling, making sure that my activities deliver reliable figures that we can use as a base for further improvement. Thanks to my earlier experience as a successful team leader in an IT or GIS service-oriented setting, I am able to create a cohesive, well-organized and productive team environment.
